Event #15: $1,500 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em
Rafael Reis started with the second chip stack and ended up securing the win for $465,501. Day 2 chip leader and French poker pro Sarah Herzali ended up 3rd ($207k), while John Monnette climbed up the ladder and came close from a fifth bracelet but ended up 5th ($111k).
“I am feeling like I had a mission, and I accomplished my mission,” Reis said in his post-win interview. “Last time that I was here, I was at the final table, and I got third. This time I felt super comfortable.”
Event #16: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed
Isaac Haxton is our winner for the current biggest prize of these World Series for close to $1,7M. The biggest $25k of the WSOP history finally offered the first bracelet of the high stakes legend Haxton, who’s having an amazing year: Six wins on the high roller circuit, three results for more than $1M for a total of nearly $7M in earnings. Haxton is 14th on the total live earnings rankings, and said he wasn’t especially chasing the top spot:
“No, not really,” he laughed. “I don’t really look at that stuff. I just really like playing poker and making money at it.”

Event #17: $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better
Jim Collopy is the winner of this long lasting Event #17, with a heads-up finishing at 3:10 AM this morning. The event had 1,143 entries and will offer $262,542 to its champion. It’s Collopy’s second bracelet, his first was won in the Event #32: H.O.R.S.E. two years ago, and he’s now totalling 77 cashes at the WSOP.

In the Event #19: $2,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em, 1,139 players took the starting line and they’re now only 11 left to have a chance at the bracelet. China’s Qiang Xu will come back as the chip leader, followed by Frenchman Alexandre Reard. They’ll battle for $435,924.
Event #20: $1,500 Badugi registered 516 entries and is now at 13 left with Serhii Popovych in the lead, followed by David “ODB” Baker (3rd) and Danny Tang (5th). The champion will receive the top prize of $144,678.
