Event #9: Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship
The canadian pro Ari Engel won his second bracelet in the $10k championship, making his total live earnings up to more than $7M. His first bracelet was won in a $2,500 No Limit Hold’em event in 2019.
Phil Helmuth started day 3 with 6th stack but couldn’t do better than grabbing the 5th place for $80,894.
Event #11: Heads Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship
After 50 cashes at the WSOP, top pro Jason Koon finally took down his first bracelet in this specialist event. Jason won 6 straight heads-up to get the trophy and the $243,981. Koon declared before the final: “I don’t vlog, I don’t stream, I just play the game”, and apparently this was enough!
Event #12: Limit Hold’em
Israel’s Yuval Bronshtein just won his second bracelet by beating a 422 players field. Bronshtein is well versed in all variants of the game as he won a 2-7 Lowball Draw event and unfortunately bubbled the $25k H.O.R.S.E event a few days ago.
Other events
Most big names have fallen in the $3,000 event #13: Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em except Michael Gathy and his four NL Hold’em bracelets. He can make history tomorrow by joining Phil Hellmuth and Doyle Brunson as the only players with five No-Limit Hold’em bracelets.
In the $1,500 Event #14: Seven Card Stud the final six are set and Shaun Deeb is currently second in chips. Shaun is looking for a 5th bracelet, his last being a $10k NL Hold’em in 2018.
